Riverside Walk to the Narrows
Zion's most beloved easy walk. Paved riverside path under hanging gardens. Wheelchair-friendly.
On Two Wheels
Roll up the 7-mile shuttle road past Court of the Patriarchs, Zion Lodge, Big Bend, all the way to Temple of Sinawava — the only motorized way private vehicles can experience Zion Canyon.
From April through November, private vehicles aren't allowed on Zion's main canyon scenic drive — only the park shuttle and bikes. E-bikes are the loophole. Rent one in Springdale, ride the paved Pa'rus Trail to the canyon, and roll the entire 7-mile scenic drive past the Court of the Patriarchs, Zion Lodge, Big Bend, and Temple of Sinawava without a shuttle in sight.
The e-bike makes the difference. The route is rolling, not flat — there are climbs that would defeat most casual riders on regular bikes. With the assist, you cover the whole canyon in 2-3 hours including stops, see every viewpoint at your own pace, and get back to your car without needing transit.
Multiple shops in Springdale rent. Zion Adventures has the most-reviewed fleet (specialized e-bikes); Zion Cycles is the closest to the park entrance; Greater Zion E-Bikes is the budget option. Reserve 1-2 days ahead in peak season.
**Best window:** late afternoon when shuttle frequency drops, light gets warm, and the canyon empties out. Many shops offer evening rentals specifically for this golden hour ride.
